Response – 24th November 2022 – 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence by Lois Law
The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an annual campaign that begins on 25th November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and concludes on 10th December, which is International Human Rights Day. It focuses on raising awareness about the devastating impact that gender-based violence and femicide (GBVF) has on women and children, and on the social fabric of our society. Other key commemorative days during this period include World Aids Day on 1st December and the International Day for Persons with Disabilities, on 3rd December. The theme for the 16 Days of Activism Campaign for 2022 is: “Socio-Economic Rights and Empowerment to build Women’s Resilience against Gender-Based Violence and Femicide: Connet, Collaborate, Contract!”
