New Political Parties and Coalitions in the
2014 Elections

The 2014 elections are coming up on 7th May and there are a few new
political parties on the scene. These new additions add colour and flavour
to South African politics and make these the most anticipated elections in
the country’s 20 years of democracy. Also, a number of smaller opposition
parties have pledged to co-operate in a ‘Collective for Democracy’. This is
a new departure in our political system.
